Well, its technically "digital," I guess...

But this e-version of Downbeat is something a 12-year old might develop, basically a straight PDF of the print edition. However, its not even as functional as most PDF files. For example, you cannot:
1) jump to an article from the contents page
2) click on web links in the text and open them in a browser
3) annotate, highlight, copy, share, or basically do anything with the text other than stare at it
4) search the text

If you want to see a good digital edition of an originally print magazine, check out Wired. Too bad we cant get Downbeats content in something like that. Very shoddy implementation.
